As a result of the use (by Suriname Earth Moving Contractors) of heavy equipment of the brands Hitachi, MAN and the good performance of this equipment in the local market, especially contractors and mining (gold) companies got very interested in these machines. To respond to this need, a daughter company, SEMC Hardware was founded in 1996. A separate company which focused entirely on the supply of heavy equipment and required parts service for this equipment. After extensive training of staff and modernization of the workshop facilities SEMC Hardware received the official dealerships of Hitachi and MAN. Also Powerscreen Crushers for serving the production of crushed stone was added as a dealership.
Our Hitachi mining department received an order for the delivery for Hitachi EX3600-6 mining excavators from Newmont Suriname. These excavators are the largest ever in Suriname, with a weight of 360 Metric Ton per unit. The excavators have already been delivered to Newmont and are already in production. SEMC Hardware is also in charge of the required product support including the delivery of required genuine parts. Our Hitachi Construction division has already delivered a large number of Hitachi excavators in the class of 5 ton to 80 ton to local customers.
SEMC Hardware has also delivered several MAN truck models including; concrete mixers, concrete pumps, tractors, trucks for heavy transport and fire fighting vehicles to local contractors and the Surinamese firefighting department. SEMC Hardware always ensures an adequate parts availability and factory trained technicians to perform service and repairs.
Powerscreen
SEMC Hardware is also the official dealer for Powerscreen crushing and screening equipment for the production of Crushed stone (gravel).
